WORKSHOP OVERVIEW:

This workshop will demonstrate how to get involved with the efficiency of the body’s distribution system.

How load, force and strain are distributed by and through the fascial system, when they can be, and how pain and injury occur when they cannot.

How information and communication are distributed for our auto-mechano function, when it can be, how dis-order and sense of weakness occur when it cannot.

How there is no isolated event in the body; isolated event = isolated strain, prolonged isolated strain = injury.

How when load, force and strain is evenly distributed, nobody ‘over strains’, and nobody injures.

WHAT THIS WORKSHOP OFFERS:

  • Ways to promote optimal strength with maximum mobility.
  • Ways to recognise isolated strain and ways to re-route it.
  • Ways to see compensation patterns and ways to re-pattern them.
  • Common exercises and functional movements explored to experience where and how to distribute the load better to enhance performance and effect.
  • Applications and sensory awareness to engage with the body’s feedback system, a sensory language to consciously create equal and clear distribution.

Cancellation: No Refund after 8 weeks before workshop 23rdApril 2018

PRESENTER: Karin Locher

For over 17 years Karin Locher has been building on her quest to understand and explore the phenomena of the ‘vital force’ (and lack of) that determines both our health and performance. With the new insights coming from the recovering research of Fascia and with Thomas Myers’ revolutionary Anatomy Trains she created a pioneering new application for Spatial Medicine: ‘Changing movement, mind and structural-relationships to change the person.’

Karin’s long standing fascination with the vital force, or lack of, is changing people and changing lives – a methodology that influences to re-store and re-set the neuro-myo-fascial system, thus enabling the body to do what it does best, keep us well. The result is Spatial Medicine. A medicine she believes is far more appropriate for the 21st century symptoms and syndromes that we are seeing.
